This is dearly dedicated to beautiful friendships and caring friends. Bosom friends, kindred spirits… near and far.
That meaningful closeness, touching and true, so splendidly soulful that it can make one feel invincible.
Both longingly blue and delightfully happy.
Absolutely alive.
“He called out to his fellow monks,
‘Come quickly I am tasting stars.”
― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars
Deschise fereastra zâmbind luminos dimineții,
cu ochii aproape închiși inspirând strălucirea,
apoi cu gesturi absente trase perdeaua,
atingându-i grăbit mătasea
She opens the window and smiles, embracing the morning,
eyes almost closed, she softly senses the brightness,
and then with absent gestures she draws the soft curtain,
touching its silky fabric
and feeling its lightness
The comforting rays murmur of life and the world,
of people and places and times, and miraculous dreams…
and Iasmin feels them all throbbing with warmth,
of magic and mountains away
drawing sweet beams
The leaves of the year tell her of loudness and whispers
resting on branches of sky and fires serene,
floating on a carpet of hills, shores and cascades
stepping on clouds and songs,
sounding andean
Her soul rustling rumors, gazing afar,
Iasmin waves at the day touching her skin,
and calmly sipping her coffee smelling so fragrant
she remembers the stars and the stories revealed
by Quin
He had told her softly and dear, an evening before,
of the peace that hides so deeply behind crisp words,
and of how the stars that burn in the heart of the night
have such long winding wings that they soar
like birds
And he had said so mildly, his eyes so aglow,
that her steps will carry her airily on an alley of shine,
where the grass and the springs are clean and so full of color,
through the air, the music alive
and so full of rhyme…
Then, holding her hand tightly they had flown on highs,
their flight cutting a swift path into the darkness,
spinning the deep horizons out of time
from beyond the cradle of stars, sun and moon
in the farness
And now, Iasmin was breathing in the scent of those moments
dressing the steps of the day in longing akin
to the walk on the alley of gliding written on air
with the perfume of rays so blue painted
by Quin

Astăzi… acum un an. Și… acum doi ani. Se simt ca ieri.
O seară frumoasă! 😊
The song actually begins at minute 0:44. My most favorite part starts… 2:30 and… lovely.
Happy World Poetry Day 2018 today!
And from words and reflections… sweet recollections. Today… a year ago. And… two years ago. They feel like yesterday.
Wishing you a nice evening! Or morning… or afternoon! 😊

Very beautiful poetry, Nicole, in both Romanian (sounds like a rain of stars) in English (that intimate words in an eternal word), in photograph (that kind light) and the music get along with it. ^_^

Thank you, Francis. I tried to reread the Romanian version a bit now somehow beyond the meaning, just to see how it sounds, thank you very much, I’m happy for your words. ^-^
