“Memories are of the ethereal, and not the material world,
that is how I know I am forever.”
― Michael Poeltl
Ascunsă în ochii tăi, dimineața
freamăt cu parfum de răcoare
alunecă peste tăcere,
foșnet de gând revărsând
neajungeri,
neregăsiri
unduiri înmugurind lacrimi
căutându-și izvorul,
albia,
risipirea…
Din raze de amintire se desprinde
un nor
o cădere în sus,
adâncită în necuprins,
un miez de firav
rătăcitor
Cuvinte cristalizând înțelesuri
din rosturi uitate printre petale
mă caută
dar îți aud pașii,
și din surâs îmi tresare
o stea…
E de la tine,
aprinzând cald
culorile
Hidden in your eyes, the morning
soft rustle with a perfume of freshness
swaying over the quietness
the whisper of a thought unwinding
unreachable corners,
untouched universes
undulations begetting tears
looking for their spring,
their bed,
their ebbing…
From rays of yesterday there shines
a cloud
a falling upwards
deepened in the skies,
the seed of a feeble
wandering
Words crystallizing meanings
from quests lost among petals
are searching for me
but I hear your footsteps,
and from my smile
there arises
a star…
It comes from you,
kindling warmly
the colors

They are not necessarily spring flowers, the carnations, but having a few in a vase, I took sunny photos of them one morning. Thank you, Brian 🙂

„the whisper of a thought unwinding
unreachable corners,
untouched universes”
This is quite true, at first I was thinking that our thoughts, fantasies and dreams reach faster than light untouched places; but in truth I feel it is more about freedom, we write to be free. A nice story in your poem, Nicole. It starts almost like melancholy, and ends with hope.

Your words reminded me of something I read once,“She called herself an angel, and wandered the world from girlhood till death. She lived every kind of life and dreamt every kind of dream. She was wild in her wandering, a drop of free water. She believed only in her life and in her dreams. She called herself an angel, and her god was Beauty.” (Roman Payne) Thank you, Francis, your comments always catch the essence, which is always a surprise and a delight, sheds more light onto my diffuse, flowing thoughts.
