Strop de senin ruginiu…/ Drop of auburn delight

“I’m so tired…
I was up all night trying to round off infinity.”
Steven Wright

December is here, but winter… not really. Or, maybe it’s just an impression of mine?!
To be honest, I don’t look forward to winter, I think, only to its white blanket of fluffiness. 🙂 But, well… long way to go from autumn to… snow. Maybe a way to the mountains, that could be an idea.

And until then, leaves of color and November delight. Still.
Last month, two little wonders were just resting there, on the pavement, so cute, I couldn’t help showing them to you… they were shining! Two drops of… infinity.

It seems that winter-not-here-yet is not such a bad idea, after all. It’s still quite-warm-and-pleasant, and still… late-autumn-colors in my mind’s eye.

Though… there have been attempts, stray snowflakes… sunny and soft.

Summer Quotograph… and fabulous blue

beautiful beyond

Pășind printre pini spre un loc feerie…

***

Drawing near to a wonderful place, pathway guarded by pines…

N-am coborât pe plaja aceea micuță, dar albastrul fabulos era peste tot, îl puteai inspira.

***

I didn’t get closer than that, but the fabulous blue was everywhere, you could breathe it.

***

I realized only today, as I was looking at these photos, that I first stepped on Greek lands ten years ago exactly, July 2006. But then again, what does time mean when the Hellenic horizons are just… another kind of home.

happiness
“What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now forever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind;…”

William Wordsworth, Ode to Intimations of Immortality
